About the Doctor

dr Dr. Troy Christensen received his dental training from Creighton University, graduating at the top of his class. While at Creighton, he received numerous academic awards and distinctions, including the American Association of Orthodontists Award, memberships into the prestigious Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, as well as membership into Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. Dr. Christensen completed his orthodontic specialty training at Baylor University, a nationally respected orthodontic program consistently ranked as one of the top programs in the country.

Dr. Christensen incorporates the latest in orthodontic research and technology into his practice. The office is a state-of-the-art facility with digital imaging, X-rays, charting and treatment planning. Dr. Christensen uses the DamonŽ bracket system by OrmcoŽ. This system incorporates a light force-low friction concept, with the latest in archwire technology, to achieve excellent results in a more patient-friendly treatment scheme. This system allows more cases to be treated non-extraction, treats cases more quickly, decreases patient discomfort and promotes a cleaner, oral environment while the braces are on the teeth. Average treatment times are usually less than 24 months. Dr. Christensen is an active member in local, state and national dental and orthodontic associations. His memberships include: AAO, PCSO, ADA, AzDA, and Damon Study Club. Dr. Christensen is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
